As a child I started supporting Tottenham Hotspur. At the time I lived in Ireland and everyone had their favourite English football team. The reason that we chose English teams was because Ireland didn't have a professional league at the time. The local team was Waterford FC which I managed to see a few times. I've been following Tottenham now for more tham 35 years now. During the period when I lived in France I listened to the BBC World Service on short wave so that I wouldn't miss any scores. When I was in France Tottenham were relegated to the second division (1976/1977) and were promoted the next season (1977/1978). I remember is as if it were yesterday. Tottenham were promoted on the very last day of the season after a goalless draw against Southampton! When in division 2 they thrashed Bristol Rovers 9-0.

I always wanted to publish statistics on the internet, so now is my chance. As Arsenal are our great rivals I've made comparisons between both teams. Arsenal usually end on top, but who cares! Tottenham are the best! Hope you enjoy the following links, more will follow

(By the way: Tottenham lost 0-4 at home to Manchester United today ( February 4th 2007) and were knocked out of the league Cup semi final by Arsenal earlier this week. We've known better days...)
